Program description

This program is primarily designed for pilots who wish to master the art of seaplane flight. This unique program allows you to become a professional pilot and enter the job market as soon as you receive your certificate. With 230 hours of flight time, including 50 hours of seaplane training, you will be prepared for hiring by bush flying companies. From flying in the mountains to performing various maneuvers on the water, you will be trained by the best instructors in the country to make the best decisions in all situations.

Admission requirements

Admission requirements vary by training program. However, the following minimum entry ratings should be met:

17 years old or older by the time you start your program;
High school diploma or its equivalent;
English level deemed adequate by the college;
Capable of obtaining the Transport Canada Class 1 Pilot Medical Certificate;
Satisfy one of the 4 following conditions :
1
Have interrupted full-time studies or pursued full-time post-secondary education for at least 2 consecutive terms or one academic year;
2
Be covered by an agreement between the college and an employer or benefit from a government program;
3
Have interrupted full-time studies for one semester and have pursued full-time post-secondary studies for one semester;
4
Hold a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS).
*The College recognizes as sufficient training: – a person who has at least a high school diploma or the equivalent OR; – a person with professional experience related to the area of ​​specialization of the OU program; – a person with relevant training related to the area of ​​specialization of the program.
