Program description
This College program offers helicopter enthusiasts the experience of a lifetime. In addition to all the academic benefits of a College program (800 hours of theory), the program also includes 100 hours of total flight time.
All flights in this program are performed on Robinson R44 helicopters.
Finally, this program’s job preparation courses will help you stand out in your first job interviews.
Admission requirements
- Be 17 years old or older by the time you start your program
- Have a high school diploma or its equivalent
- Be proficient in the language of instruction (English)
- Be able to obtain the Transport Canada Class 1 Pilot Medical Certificate
- New: starting December 1st, 2025, all new admissions will be required to take the COMPASS test.
- Satisfy one of the 4 following conditions:
- Have interrupted full-time studies or pursued full-time post-secondary education for at least 2 consecutive terms or one complete academic year;
- Be covered by an agreement between the college and an employer or benefit from a government program;
- Have interrupted full-time studies for one semester and have pursued full-time post-secondary studies for a minimum of one semester;
- Hold a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS).

Duration
The total duration of training is 24 months.
Evaluations
As part of the program, and in addition to the college evaluations, candidates must pass the following Transport Canada written exams:
- PPHEL
- CPHEL
As part of the program, and in addition to the internal checks, candidates must pass the following Transport Canada flight tests:
- Private Pilot License Flight Test
- Commercial Pilot License Flight Test
Requirements for Obtaining the ACS
The requirements for obtaining the Attestation of College Studies are:
- Successful completion of all program courses
- Obtaining the Commercial Pilot License
- Demonstrate a sufficient level of proficiency in French, in accordance with section 88.0.18 of the Charte de la langue française.
