Program description

This College program offers helicopter enthusiasts the experience of a lifetime. In addition to all the academic benefits of a College program (765 hours of theory), the program also includes 135 hours of total flight time. The flying period consists of six hours on a turbine helicopter, a survival experience in the forest and a night flight rating.

All flights in this program are performed on Robinson R44 helicopters, and the turbine rating on Bell 505.

Finally, this program’s aviation English and job preparation courses will help you stand out in your first job interviews.

Admission requirements

  1. Have interrupted full-time studies or pursued full-time post-secondary education for at least 2 consecutive terms or one complete academic year;

  2. Be covered by an agreement between the college and an employer or benefit from a government program;

  3. Have interrupted full-time studies for one semester and have pursued full-time post-secondary studies for a minimum of one semester;

  4. Hold a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS).

PPC and turbine transition included in the training

Receive a rigorous training to work for our operations company: Select Aviation Services (SAS). In addition, you get a chance to fly a few hours on our turbine helicopter.

The job of an airline pilot consists of transporting passengers or goods on board aircrafts of all sizes. The pilot must also ensure technical preparation before each flight.

Commercial pilot

The commercial pilot exercises in several sectors such as freight transport, humanitarian missions, rescue, towing advertising banners, aerial photography, agricultural operations, dropping parachutists, etc.

Flight instructor

The flight instructor is the trainer of future pilots. He teaches theoretical courses and provides practical in-flight courses. It accompanies the beginner who has never taken the controls of an aircraft until obtaining a license, private or commercial.
