DESCRIPTION OF DIPLOMA OPTIONS AND FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS

You can pay your tuition fees from your Student Account. You will be able to deposit funds into your account as soon it is opened. A minimum initial amount of $7,500 is required to cover the processing fees incurred up to the first day of training. This is the minimum amount required, regardless of the services you wish to receive from Select Aviation College or any of its partners.

The tables below list all fees to be paid according to your chosen program, along with the payment deadlines. The first table gives the initial costs incurred up to your arrival to the College. The subsequent tables show the tuition costs for each diploma option of the “EWA 16 –Commercial Air Transport Pilot – Airplane” program, namely:

  • “AEW.16 – Commercial Air Transport Pilot – Airplane” including Multi-Engine (ME) and Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) ratings;
  • “AEW.17 – Commercial Air Transport Pilot – Airplane/Helicopter IFR” including Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) rating;
  • “AEW.18 –Commercial Air Transport Pilot – Bush pilot.”

These three programs stretch out over three terms; the first two terms are common and the third is specific to your diploma option (Airplane, IFR Helicopter or Bush). This means you can change your diploma option at any time up until the end of your second term.

The government fees or any other fees under government regulations indicated in these tables are subject to change without notice and may differ from those presented here:

We ask that, upon receiving the letter confirming that you have obtained your study permit, and at least one month prior to the planned start date for your training program, the funds deposited into your Student Account cover the tuition fees for your first term, plus one thousand Canadian dollars ($1,000). This amount will be used to cover the supplies required for your studies, such as your flight helmet, books, etc.

Generally speaking, we ask our students to maintain a minimum balance of $500 in their Student Account to be able to cover any unforeseen circumstances, and to avoid delays or even an interruption in their studies due to a momentary lack of funds. Any balance above this minimum amount in your Student Account at the beginning of your program can be used to pay your tuition fees, according to the program you are enrolled in.
