ADMISSION / VISA
Entry requirements vary according your training program. However generally you should meet the following minimum entry criteria:
- Aged over 18 years old at the end of your program
- Secondary School education diploma achieving national qualifications in English Language, Mathematics and Science subjects
- English language ICAO level 4
- Capable of holding a Transport Canada Class 1 Pilot Medical Certificate
- Successfully complete and pass the assessment process for your preferred training program
Have you started flying in your country? Whilst gaining flying experience can be beneficial and can help you determine whether flying is the career for you, it is not an entry requirement for the majority of our training programs. But any experience acquired in one of the countries member of the ICAO is recognized in Canada. You can find the list of ICAO countries at www.icao.int.
procedures of admission
All candidates who meet the admission criteria will have a short interview with the director of the school. We want to be sure that you will be enrolled for the good reasons. Your English level will be evaluated in addition to your motivation for an aviation career. Once accepted by the College registrar, Mr. Simard, you will have to pay your administration and registration fees and start the process of immigration to Canada. As you probably know, it is rigorous process to apply for a Canadian study permit. You will have to provide a lot of documents and fill many forms. Don’t worry, Select Aviation works with some of the best immigration consultants to help you to get the Study permit as quickly as possible.
In addition, Select Aviation offers to our qualified applicants a Visa consulting fee reimbursement policy if your Visa is refused after 2 attempts.

Program starting date
The majority of our programs starts in January, March, June and September of each year. If you arrive with a private license in hand, we are welcoming you all year long.
staying in canada
Having the opportunity to study in Canada is a great privilege. Unfortunately, its not a ticket for the residency. It is important to know that Select Aviation does not promise employment to our students. Also, having job opportunities in your native country, are conditions to be accepted for the Canadian Study permit.
